Allergan products and their applications
Allergan’s diverse portfolio of skincare products, submental fat treatments, neurotoxins, and facial fillers stems from the company’s well-established track record for excellence, scientific research, and constant innovation. The range of Allergan fillers consists of well-known brands Juvéderm and Surgiderm, as well as Botox (Botulinum toxin type A) — an FDA-approved treatment for skin rejuvenation.
Juvederm range
Juvederm is arguably the world’s most popular collection of dermal fillers, with several different hyaluronic acid-based formulations to satisfy the unique needs of each patient. The Juvederm family of products consists of anti-wrinkle solutions, a cheek filler, a jawline filler, and a lip filler that are widely used to lift and contour the cheekbones, add volume to the lips, and smooth out wrinkles.
Surgiderm products
The Surgiderm line, which was formerly produced by Corneal Group (now a division of Allergan), is based on their patented cross-linking method known as 3D Hyaluronic Acid Matrix Technology. These hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are used to correct wrinkles of various depths, from fine lines to deep creases, improve fullness and definition of the lips, and restore facial contours.
Botox
Botox injections contain a muscle relaxant obtained from the bacterium Botulinum toxin type A. Aesthetic neurotoxins work by temporarily relaxing overactive or spastic (contracting) muscles to improve the appearance of moderate to deep wrinkles in particular parts of the face, including vertical frown lines appearing between the eyebrows, as well as lines around the eyes and on the forehead in adults.
Manufacturer’s innovations and benefits
Allergan develops products and technologies that drive the advancement of aesthetic medicine. The company combines customer focus, innovation, commitment to excellence, and commercial effectiveness to offer high-quality cosmeceutical products that are compelling to patients and healthcare providers alike.
